[ORYCON] Mailing List Info Page

What is [ORYCON]?

[ORYCON] is the mailing list for people interested in OryCon, the fan-run science fiction convention held in Portland, Oregon each November. See http://www.orycon.org/ for more information on OryCon.

Who Can Subscribe to [ORYCON]?

[ORYCON] is open to all OryCon members (attendees), potential members, members of previous OryCons, and anyone else interested in discussing the convention.

What Topics are Appropriate for [ORYCON]?

This list is intended for discussion of OryCon, science fiction conventions in general, and other OryCon-related issues. General fannish chat is acceptable as long as the volume of the list does not become too great and the topic of discussion is of interest to the members of the list. Please do not repost humorous (or other) messages from Usenet or other lists unless they are directly relevant to OryCon. Posting of very large files (binaries) is not allowed.

Commercial solicitations and any other mass mailings of any kind (AKA "spam") will absolutely not be tolerated. Don't do it. We mean it. And don't try to weasel out of it by saying "but I thought it was relevant to the list"... we all know what spam is when we see it, and we will take appropriate action. Losing your subscription to [ORYCON] is just the beginning. We have friends all over the world, many of whom own powerful computers and/or impressive weapons and are not afraid to use them.
