Reminder, the OryCon hotel is:
Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront
Address: 909 N Hayden Island Dr, Portland, OR 97217
Phone: (503) 283-4466
There will be plenty of room in the hotel parking lot. The
parking lot is now fenced and the hotel is running additional
security to improve the security of the lot.
From the Airport
If you're arriving via the airport, sorry, the
hotel has no shuttle service. Better to arrange
your own. The hotel is a 30-45 min drive from the
airport.
Transportation Options from and to the Portland
International Airport are here on the
airport web page.
For more local concerns
The MAX train (Yellow line)
will likely be
your main route to get closer to the hotel (the Expo Center), but you'll
need to transfer to a bus to finish the trip. We suggest
you
check
http://trimet.org for specific times and
connections.
Driving directions to the hotel
The Holiday Inn Portland is next to the I5 freeway with southbound and
northbound exits and entrances within sight of the hotel. For either
direction, take Hayden Island, Exit 308. The northbound exit will leave
you pointing right at the hotel. For the southbound exit you will be
steered north, onto N Central Ave. Go a short distance to the end and
turn right onto N. Hayden Island Dr., go under the I5 overpass and the
hotel is the first big thing on your left.
The Holiday Inn also has more detailed driving directions
on their web page:
Parking & Transportation

Public Transportation – Tri-Met
There is a bus stop right across the street from the
hotel, where traffic exits I5. Only one bus stops
there, though it runs fairly frequently on weekdays:
6 - Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Jantzen Beach/Portland City Center
Stop: N Hayden Island Dr & Tomahawk Island Dr
Visit the Tri-Met web page for directions, route
maps, schedules and trip planner for how to connect
to the #6 bus.
https://trimet.org/home/
Sadly, while Tri-Met is the most economical, and the connections are
simple (Red line MAX train from the airport connecting to the #6 bus
route), it is the least efficient choice for getting from the airport
to the hotel. Only take it if you want to save money and have an extra
hour to kill.
